We were really pleased to welcome Deb Laxon from Welsh Country to learn more about the work we’re doing to explore the wider uses of Welsh mountain wool and the opportunities it can create for local farmers, growers and communities.

The article highlights conversations around sustainability, innovation and finding new value in a natural local resource that has too often been overlooked. From traditional uses through to exciting new ideas such as wool growing mats for micro salads, it’s inspiring to see how people across our area are helping to rethink the future of wool.

In the video below, you’ll hear from Gill at Gwlangollen, Rhys and Sian from Tanyfron Farm and Hwb Pentredwr, and Chris from Mountain Produce, sharing their thoughts and experiences around the wider use of wool.
